hello! :D
i am here to blog
this is going to be a space for me to just note down the things that i want to remember when i become old or rather, maybe 5 years down the road, and i want to remember how it feels like to be young once.
ok, first things first,
I AM DONE WITH YEAR 3!!!
time flies OMG, i honestly don't remember it being 3 years since i started university life!!!
i am done being a freshmen, a sophomore and now a junior :X
on my way to becoming a senior, my last year as a senior!!!
it seems like the older one gets, the worse the memory becomes..
whatever happened in year 1 and 2 is like a blur to me now! the only things that made me realised that i have been growing up in uni is the fact that my skin finally cleared up!!
hahaha, yes any young kids reading this, your skin does clear up after you are done being a teenager. :p
and one's fashion sense does indeed get better overtime! now that i think about the things that i buy when i was in year 1, OMG, why did i even think about getting those horrendous things anywhere near me!!?!
as i look back, i really appreciate the fact that time has allowed me to grow and mature as a student, a daughter, a girl and a young lady..
and i never felt any better about myself ever! even though i do admit, looking older is part and parcel of this growing process, i will never give up all these knowledge i have gained over the years for the kiddy cheeks i had haha
this semester proved a sem of changes and adaptation, maybe the most adaptation ever since starting uni!
my closest buddy went for exchange to germany and i suddenly felt stranded :X i have no close friends, i have nothing really.
but i am super thankful for the new friends i made, and trust me, i really enjoyed their friendship so very much! they brought so much joy and laughter into my life, and showed me a side of life that i have deviated from for a long long while.
another thing about this sem is that it was our 2nd sem together as a couple for jason and i. and honestly i was worried when it all started out.
1st sem was fine because it was the honeymoon period and we were deeply and hopelessly in love blah blah (maybe it was just me :p he is the level headed one in the relationship)
2nd sem was a test of our relationship (or so i thought) because we have started to get comfortable with each other, and it is a really good thing, it means open burping and you know, just the comfy things haha, comfortable means no more awkward "i am fine with everything, yoour choice" and more of "alright, i don't wanna eat hwangs today, let's eat char grill bar"
it is wonderful, because that is when you see the genuine, unmasked side of anyone, and that is when you can fall in love with the real person you are in a relationship with.
now is about surviving the holidays together, if only our summer holidays can be like a summer romance, laze around everyday doing nothing, but of course this is the real life, and in real life, we have jobs and responsibilities, but we will get through this :D
2013 has been quite a good year so far! i started out with love, still in love. i started out with the awesomeest friends, i am still with the awesomeest friends! over time, you will realise that there are some friends that you will have a really good relationship with for a period in your life, but the relationship doesn't last. but life's all about the experimenting! without such encounters, one would never meet the true friends for life. and one wouldn't truly appreciate their existence in his life either :)

RECESS
recess week came and passed :O
and i haven't get much studying done during that week
but well, it was indeed a good week for a bit of social life :)
J and I finally managed to get a whole day to ourselves!
date away wheee!
it was one of those days where we wouldn't be rushing for anything, it felt like us against the world, quite an enjoyable feeling i would say.
but reality check, such days are hard to come by, probably it is a blessing in disguise, we learn to treasure such times more than ever.
hehe, we like to take lots of pictures when we r together, you know what they say about uni draining our youths away, better take more now! but the pictures together are our sanctuary, cannot anyhow post one :p
MCOT WENT TO LEGOLAND!
[no i do not have hand leg coordination problems!]
haha, being with MCOT still makes me happy even after 2 years of friendship [TIME FLIES I KNOW]
there is no holding back of bimbotic comments just because i fear judgement, they just make me feel at ease.
legoland: 4 words summarise the experience
I RATHER GO USS!
of course to give legoland credit, it wasn't a bad experience. it is probably a mixture of the scorning sun, the lack of hydration, the great unavailability of rides and having experienced something a lot more awesome [USS] that made legoland pales a lot in comparison.
the number of rides that were young adult friendly were so few that we ended up taking this roller coaster ride 4 times in a row, just to get some adrenaline rushing through our bodies.
oh and these time transporter lookalike machines are in fact body dryers.
they placed these 2 right beside a fountain, with that unbearable weather, it took just that amount of self control to prevent ourselves from running straight into it.
anyway, we concluded that for those body dryers, msia 1 - uss 0 hahaha
YAY :D this laser gun shootout ride thingy went on to prove that i am actually a damn good shooter! hahaha
their canon 4d movie experience was really impressive though! plus, aircon is always a bonus when it is the tropics we are talking about!
lunch was VERY underwhelming. the beef was dry and really hard, but the fries were plentiful though
slushies got the guys' full attention for the day, they were constantly on a lookout for different flavours to try
the miniland is SUPER CUTE [click for pictures] and all the structures that they made up from nothing but purely lego bricks really get my hat's off to them.
in conclusion: legoland fun for kids and families, not so fun for the young at heart but not so young physically.

Happens so fast
IM BACK BITCHES :D
haha, pardon me for the crude title, but finally i stopped being lazy and J's random comment about me having stopped blogging got me started again :)
i realised my last post was like 3 months ago?? seriously have been too lazy! and motivation to blog doesn't really come if there is no one reading. but well, at least the ones that matter will be reading
i hope
so summer after 20th june has been really enriching, i can safely say that it is the best summer of my 21 years so far!
went bintan with the lullababies for a weekend trip in mid june
started work at gardens by the bay on the 18th june and worked there for more than a month, quit on the 27th july.
went for chess camp [emcee somemore :p]
korea trip!!!

and summer ended on a good note too :)

niang turns 21!
i know i have been so lag!
niang's birthday was on 3rd june and i am only updating about her birthday now!
ok, it is niang's 21st and dallan's 22nd [yes they have the same birthday!]
so there were 2 celebrations, one on 2nd june at wala wala
which honestly i didn't really enjoy it, because quite obviously, i am not a metal fan
and so i have NO IDEA what they were singing and all!
but bailey's with milk is nice! :D
the next day we had a nice lunch at MBS pizzeria mozza!
the 9 of us shared 5 pizzas so we got to try all of them
and this is the really beautiful card that dallan and vic took charge of making for niang! :)
really really good job! :D
and then we had the lychee martini cake from pine garden's
they are known for their cakes but i think it wasn't really up to standards probably because it melted in the car :(
backdrop's so nice! artscience muesum!
we went to harry potter exhibition [kiasu us, it was only the 2nd day of opening and we went alr!]
cheryl really turned into this little kid haha, everything was "damn cool" and she was "damn excited" so cute!
in order to make my 24bucks worth,
i even fought with the little kids to try my hand at quidditch!
i really like hermione and prof snape's wands but they were far too expensive for me to even consider buying them home :(
even the souvenir pictures were so expensive, we had to resort to doing this :(
afterwhich, we proceeded onto andy warhol's exhibition.
NOT AN ARTSY PERSON HERE, so don't have much to say about the drawings and photos.
ohhhh, but he looks cool when he's in drag though! :D
anyway, the girls folded 21 roses and we made niang hand them out to little kids as part of her birthday's "THANKSGIVING"
it is always a joy to give and what's the best than to make the day of little ones around us!
i love to see kids smile because they have no pretence or anything
the smile really comes right from the bottom of their hearts :)
we all got into the mood of giving, and soon after, cheryl and i joined in as well!
and tada, we are done, feeling exhaustedly satisfied.
good food, good friends, wonderful exhibition
and all these smiles on their little faces is the perfect end to the day :)

no good being too old for camps yea?
still have more camps to come in time, but well, wouldn't be staying over and all, so still ok :)
ok, shall do a brief recap of engin camp 2012!
cheryl was my other half throughout the whole camp, we do everything together and it is really wonderful having a girlfriend around all the time, i am missing her so bad!
how to survive when she leaves for korea for SIX WEEKS?? :(
anyway, back to engin camp.
the councillors were all having their day 0s and some messages from some of them got me really hyped up about camp! i know, don't judge, so old already still going for all these freshmen camps <- according to my mum haha
cheryl got a little excited for camp too :)
so next day, we decided to go down at the reporting time 8am, one must understand that for normal college seniors who have nothing to do during the holidays, it is almost illegal to wake up before 10am!
so for the first time in god knows how long, i woke up just in time to see the sun rise
we wore red, excited just like little freshies [we were supposed to act freshie too la] cheryl reached earlier, i went with yuge [people freshie ma, very shy one :p]
ok ok, i know it is starting to sound really sleep inducing
so picture time :)
